I have a 2006 ford focus zetec auto.
Recently a small red light has started flashing intermittently on the dashboard. Here's the thing - it isn't mentioned in the manual!

It is just a small round dot, (outside) near the speedometer, in line with the 0 mph marker. There is a similar dot on the other side outside the rev counter (level with the 8) but this has never lit up. Neither of these lights are mentioned in the manual.

HELP!

Put some petrol in?

There is a 'low fuel' light which flashes when the tank level is getting critical but it is linked to the float so initially only gives a very quick flash when the fuel sloshing about drops the level low enough. When stationary the fule level is higher so the light stays off
If you persist without refuelling the light comes on more and more often until.........

Was going to edit 'fule' but any fule kno what I meanwink

Are there any messages when you scroll through the options?

(Twist the selector that is on the indicator stalk)

I have the 2006 focus climate, and that light comes on whenever I have a message. The message is normally a door is open, but can also extend to the bonnet being open......
