Just put the daughters ford in for an mot and it passed on everything except the air bag light will not go off and with the new mot regs this is a fail. I have tried everything I know and I have found that the cause could be because not enough power is getting through to the airbags - why, have any of you clever people got any ideas as it is getting to be a bit desperate now. Many thanks

Check all the wiring and couplers to the seat and seat belts to see if any have been damaged or come undone - Unfortunately oyu are more likely to fault find once you've gained a diagnostic code from the OBD & that needs a garage - Also make sure the passenger airbag is not disengaged - key switch on the IP accessible with the passenger door open.

Get some specialist help.

Most airbag faults are straightforward for a good sparky to fix but they are often way beyond the reach of the average DIYer/googler. This isn't just an MOT issue, the SRS system may well not have functioned correctly in the case of your daughter having an accident!
