2010 Focus 1.6 petrol auto - starting problems
Discussion
Hi all.
My wife's legendary grandad is having trouble with his Focus and the local garage who is a tyre fitter and general mechanic so not Ford specialists aren't having any joy.
It's an intermittent fault and when it happens the engine won't start and he sees two messages on the on board computer, one says transmission malfunction and the other says acceleration reduced.
I did a bit of research online and one forum suggested an inhibitor sensor on the side of the transmission.
Any experts on here that may have seen this happen before?
Can anyone recommend any Ford indys in the Hatfield/St Albans/Welwyn Garden City area where he lives?
thanks in advance!
