Hi.
Just looked at a friends 14 plate Ka. The rear tailgate window is completely loose and floats about. It only seems to be held in place by the windscreen wiper bolt. I removed some trim but cannot see any clamps or screws that can be tightened. Was it originally glued only?
Does anyone know how it’s meant to be fixed or have had a similar problem

The rear windscreen is bonded to the tailgate, or at least in this case it should be.

Fords are notorious for these issues.

Both substrates will need inspecting and decontaminating before prepping and bonding the window back in.

Thanks for that. Will help to get it done properly
I also went in and had a chat with our local Ford dealer- totally useless, find it hard to believe Ford don’t want to fix the issue

I've been involved in the windscreen and car glass industry for 25 years and one [car] manufacturer stands out for a) having bonded windows come unstuck, and b) shrugging their shoulders when questioned about it...
