Parking sensor calibration

I suspect the answer to this will be no, however does anyone know if it is possible to re-calibrate the parking sensors on a Mk4 Mondeo? Currently they go to a solid tone when you're in the same postcode as another car and it would be considerably more useful if solid tone meant 2mm from an object. Well, close anyway. Just parked in a space where if I put the car in 1st or reverse I am getting a solid tone despite the space being big enough to park in. And I know I shouldn't need parking sensors but when I look at an MX5 height car in the mirrors I can barely see it's roof, let alone the font of it.
