transit connect strange battery drain problem
Discussion
Hi Guy's.
I've got a 2007 transit connect and having a strange battery drain problem.
When the weather is mild (warm) and left overnight it starts perfect, however when the outside temperature is cold, it drains the battery.
I've done a battery drain test in the day and all seems to be OK, however I can't stay up all night to keep testing the battery..
I would appreciate any help or advice.

This has just started happening my father’s May 2017 Transit Connect L1H1 Trend 100ps.
It was a UK-registered van that I bought from new, but it’s now in Ireland, where it’s a bit colder than here in London, but not cold enough to cause this issue I’d have thought?
The van has DEATC, electric folding mirrors, cornering fog lamps, LED load area lamp and 13-pin towbar socket kit installed from factory, which are the only electrical upgrades from a standard Trend spec. I read on one forum that someone had traced the fault back to a trailer socket fuse (US speak for towbar socket?) but nothing I read anywhere seems conclusive. It also seems to happen vans with dual batteries.
Would love to hear other people’s stories for this specific model (a lot of the talk centres around Transit Customs).
Hopefully Ford Ireland will honour the warranty at least and replace this battery and conduct some tests!!
