Stutter issue when engaging first gear
Discussion
Hello people,
Having an issue (For about 2-4 months now) with my beloved Ford Fiesta 1.25 2008 (Old shape), and wanted to see if you guys or girls could pin point the problem or give some advice?
Now, I've owned a Ford Fiesta 1.4 2008 previously (No longer with us due to storm damage - R.I.P) and not at all experienced anything like this.
The stuttering seems to only happen once/twice a day (Usually when cold, but can occur when warm), and occurs when raising the clutch to the biting point, where it engages first gear. The front wheels and car stutter/hesitate - It's not a normal thing to experience.
Anyway, I did some research and the symptoms sounded like a clutch chatter issue. I took it in to get it checked out, but what would you know, the issue does not occur in the hands of the mechanics (WHY!). They believed me, but as they could not replicate the issue themselves, they were unable to do anything about it (Quite right too). However, the problem occurred again a couple of days after I got my Fiesta back.
But AHA! I managed to capture the stuttering on my dashcam today \o/ - So please take a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3vP6BTZQzM&fe... There are no bumps on the ground - I go to this location regularly.
If anyone else has had the same issue. It would be great if you had any suggestions or ideas to what might be the problem here.
Many thanks,
Jon.
