Need new door for Mondeo Zetec S

Hi all.

I've been unfortunate to have my car broken into recently and the rear nearside door damaged. I've had it resprayed but because its metallic silver the sprayers have not been able to match the colour - not even after the second attempt. What I'm after is some good scrap dealers that might by some stroke of luck happen to have a door in the same colour.

So if anyone knows of a few or even just one, could you give me some details cos I'm a little deflated as I've only had the car a few months!

There is NO reason why a decent painter can't get a match on your newish paint work.

If they've not done it right, chuck it back at them and demand it's done again.

i don't think you'll get a perfect match from a donor car though either as ford's ability to paint silver is questionable at the best of times, it's usually quite cloudy.

Whilst I agree it should be a match its not actually that far out. Its just that I know its there and it bothers me. Also, because the door's been filled it still doesn't look as smooth as it did originally so I think this may be the cheapest option for me as I'm not exactly rolling in money at the mo! :-(

Silver is one of the worst colours to get a match on , my old Cl focus was 3 different shades even though the bady shops had ordered the correct paint !
