I hope you are well.

My Ford Galaxy, (2009 - Ghia Model - Fully Loaded) which has been great for many years, now has a Intermintent fault with the Touch Screen Sat Nav.

The Touch Screen Sat Nav works Intermittently for approx 15 minutes and then sorts it self out, as long as the car remains started.

When I switch the engine on, and switch on the Touch Screen Sat Nav, an error appears on the sat nav screen, stating: 'If the engine is off the system will shut down in 1 hour'' this is despite the engine being on.

This causes issues with the Climate Control (so when the car is turned on the Air Con is switched on and won't switch off as the Climate Control section doesn't work until the Touch Screen system sorts itself out) and part of the trip computer on the dash appears blank (only the Trip Computer and Settings options appear).

The Touch Screen Sat Nav states 'If the engine is off the system will shut down in 1 hour'' this is despite the engine being on.

It's bit of a unusual issue and I'm not sure how to resolve. Is it a software bug with the touchscreen system ? Has anyone had an issue like this ? Any thoughts or suggestion highly welcomed.

The main S/W version on the sat nav is 0843_090128

Thank you for your time.

Update:

I have updated the DVD Sat NAV (which also upgraded the S/W) but this has not resolved the issue.

Has anyone come across this type of issue ?

Thanks
