09 Fiesta Seat Belt Warning Fault

Hey guys,

Some advice if possible...

Earlier in the week, our 09 reg Fiesta developed a very annoying fault. The seat belt warning, both the dash light and the chime (which is doing my nut in!), come on continually when driving the car, with the seat belt on of course.

I moved the seat back to check the wiring and connections and everything seemed plugged in fine - i gave the connectors a 'SNES Cartridge' style blow and everything seemed ok after that - no light or bong for a couple of day.

Unfortunately the fault has reared its head again - last night it came back on during my drive home and this morning it continued, even after 'fixing it' with the industry standard blow method again. I've also tried resetting the sensor by plugging/unplugging the seatbelt 9 times (i read on the holy Google that this is the usual fix).

I'm wondering if this is a common issue, or if anyone else has had this? If so, is it an easy fix? I'm assuming not!
