Not sure what site that's on but sadly most original / OE parts for the Mk1 seem to have a massive RS tax attached to them nowadays but some people will spend that £££ for originality and also if they don't shop around frown

Thankfully anyone who knows the Mk1, knows to look around and you can find them much less than that via other retailers / specialists.

I think Demon Performance Centre do them for about £150. I've seen other Ford retailers sell them around £160-£180.

The link was from Ford direct, not sure how I ended up on their mailing list.

That was on Ford parts UK and the price of these was the reason I went for non genuine pads when I changed mine.

Not sure where is quoting that, but there's no way they cost that much normally. I bought some with privilege discount, and the whole lot (front and back) was about £60 I think. Given that was 50% off, I think they would normally be £120 for the set. To me, that looks like the price for pads AND discs which would make sense!

I picked up a full front set of disks and pads from Brembo on GSF for about £100 the other day, those prices are extreme!

They have always been expensive, there is a cheaper option from the dealer that doesn’t have the weights on the back.

I had to replace the discs and pads on my MK1 when i had it and the pads were double the discs. about £400 if memory serves me right. there was some talk at the time of sourcing and fitting brembo pads, but they and other after market ones squeeled like a pig! i just settled for the £700 sevice bill lol.
