Any Ford mechanics

Iv got an old Ford Focus 1.6 petrol, it's a 2006 model.
I think the power steering pump has packed in, so removal of the pump, is there a belt tensioner on it? I don't see any obvious means of loosening the belt to get the alternator out and then the PAS pump.
2 pulleys on the crank, one driving the aircon compressor, the other does the alternator, PAS pump and something else, doesn't look like a pulley but neither does it look like a belt tensioner.
anyone help?

have you looked on YT, this looks a match https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v5JBthJ78vo it might answer your questions.
If there appears to be no tensioners on the alternator/pas then it has 'Stretch' type belts fitted which were designed by Ford to not need a tensioner and are a pain in the backside.
There are special tools needed to remove (unless you cut the belt and fit new) and fit these belts. They can be done without the special tools if you have good patience

I think it depends on the year, some drive the water pump from the AUX belt (early engines) some drive it from the timming belt so the set up is differant, i think your's being the later Zetec it will be one of the ones from the link below with the tensioner at the rear ?

IIRC the stretch belts are used on the Zetec SE engine on that year but they chopped and changed so often i loose track and i only have an early (escort) 1.6 zetec to look at for referance at the mo or fiestas with zetec Ses in them, no late zetecs i.m affraid so take what i sayy with a pinch of salt

What I do, is crack the bolt on the bottom of alternator off and then loosen the top two bolts which should allow the alternator to pivot away from the engine and release the tension on the belt, the top two bolts will probably have to come all the way out so on refitting of the belt the alternator will have to be prised back towards the engine with a suitable bar. I would try and avoid pulling the belt tight by tightening the bolts as it could strip the threads on the alternator bracket.
