Hi all, first post here, hope you are good!?

I have a titanium s-max x sport 240, and it has been playing up lately. Basically it has been driving normal and then all of a sudden when I give it some throttle it just goes flat and
doesn't have the kind of power you normally get from it. Anyway, took it into an indy garage to run a diagnostic and it came back with a boost fault on the readout, but no DTC's given. Prior to this I didn't have any
eml come on when the I experienced the fault when driving.

I notice that once I had stopped the car and then drove it again, it was fine and ran normally, but then would happen again after a 10 miles or so. Driven the car since it first started and driven it hard trying to replicate the fault, and its been fine.
My question is, how likely that the turbo unit needs replacing, and rough cost of what I should expect to pay? Also what other likely things could it be, ie sensors, hoses, etc, or even boost solenoid?

Obviously hoping it isn't needing a new turbo, as it's only done 47k, and funds are quite tight at the moment frown. Anyone experienced similar issues with their 240ps ecoboosts?

TIA, Terry

Did you get anywhere with this?

My Dad is having the exact same issue with his 2011 Mondeo with the same engine.

It's hard to diagnose because I've never been able to replicate it whilst reading live data from the car.

My suspicion is it's either the boost solenoid or the wastegate actuator playing up, but proving which is beyond me. It's booked in to be looked at next week at a diagnostics specialist to see if they can make any sense of it. A brand new replacement turbo can be had for £550 so it's not the end of the world.

For the benefit of anyone who stumbles across this, the problem on the Mondeo turned out to be a failing boost solenoid. Part is just over £100 from Ford, total cost of diagnosis and repair was £320.

The symptoms were intermittent loss of boost/limp home mode leaving the car driveable but extremely limited performance but no warning lights on the dash.

The DTC code logged was P132B.
