Mk2 Focus central locking fault

Hi all,

My 05 Focus wont unlock the doors remotely. I replaced the battery, no joy. I re-proged the key, no joy.

I took the car to a local keys r us type and the key is giving out a good signal. The car knows there is a key as it beeps when going through the ignition on/off 4 times etc routine. The central locking works with the key in the door lock, and from the tab inside the car. There are no sticking locks.

Help! Someone has mentioned the comfort control unit, but I have no idea what is going wrong.

Any pointers would be most gratefully received.
