I've replaced my old car a Passat which had 235/45/R17 wheels which I'd bought continental winter contact 3 winter tyres for, which I still have. I've now got a mk3 focus ST which has 235/35/R19 and I'm looking for a set of dirt cheap plain steel wheels(the type that had hub caps)to put these on for the winter months. Anybody got any ideas where I could find them I'm not having much look searching on tinternet. I'm also thinking that the ratios between those two sizes the overall tyre circumference/diameter would be more or less the same, am I right.
Any info would be much appreciated thanks.

Doesn't the base model Mk3 Focus or even a Mondeo have them & then use a large profile tyre?

Peugeot do 17" steel wheels on one of their SUV's (3008?) but not sure if they would fit.

I think the size may cause issues with the speedo and may not clear the brakes.

Your handbook should tell you the correct size for winter tyres and if it is 17" then you will be Ok clearing the brakes.

Try Oponeo or Mytyres. I think they sell steel rims. You maybe lucky on Ebay as well.
