mk6 Fiesta stolen on Sunday, what part is this?

Some lovely people decided to nick my car. All that was left in my empty parking space was this metal part. I'm assuming it's probably from the outer lock, but I was wondering if any of you could confirm that this is from a mk6 fiesta, and not some random part they dropped.

Also, I can't seem to find my spare key but I know it's somewhere in this house, but I'm worried insurance will scew me over on that unless I can find it soon. Would having this metal part as evidence, as well as several neighbours claiming to hear banging, then tyre screeching...along with cctv of them speeding off be enough to help me? Or am I royally screwed until I can find the spare key?

It's the door lock housing/mount. It would be rearwards of the door handle.

I should read the whole post before posting. Sorry! I would take it into your nearest Ford dealer and ask them to match it up on their parts system.
