Morning all - Late last year, I bought a 2004 SportKA as a railway station car. I've had some OK cars over the years but I'm quite fond of 'UlriKA' as aside from daily station duties, she's also reasonably entertaining around town and for back road blats too.

But recently she's started leaking and the driver's side carpet is quite damp. I've been away so haven't been driving her much but it's been raining like mad here in Manchester so the leak is more likely to be from the bulkhead/screen. I've also spotted that the water appears to be coming down onto the brake pedal assembly at the top, which lends further weight to the theory that it's a bulkhead/screen issue.

I've had a google and leaky KAs are sadly quite common, and also find the cause of the leak can be a ball-ache. However I'm hoping the expertise on here and the information I've given above may help with isolating the cause if anyone can help?

Thanks!

You've probably already checked, but if not then make sure the scuttle panel has been fastened down properly. A few years ago I had a windscreen replacement on my old Focus, a few days later there was water in the footwell as they hasn't screwed it back down properly rolleyes

Same with the pollen filter, make sure that's been clipped in properly and isn't damaged.

As I understand from when I had my KA, they (and I assume the SportKA) can suffer from a bit of rot at the bottom of the A-Pillar - just hidden behind the front wing, but still visible when looking down. May be worth checking to to see if it still looks solid there, too.

Hopefully it's just a loose trim, though.

Thanks chaps. Some detective work this weekend this weekend then. Won't need a hose to help though, as it's certainly raining a lot even by Manchester's own pretty high standards.
