Galaxy smells of Petrol..........

My wife has a 2.3L Galaxy, recently she has complained that it smells, inside, of petrol.

I have checked/looked at everything I can find and can see no leaks from filler, pipes, filter, under bonnet, when the engines running and when stopped etc.

The only leak of any sort I can see is from a joint in the exhaust, behind the Cat where a bit of moisture (condensation?) drips for a while after first starting.

Any ideas?

Not much help but......do YOU think it smells of petrol inside? Does anyone else?

Yes it does smell, not strongly though, but can't tell where from, it still does it with ventilation off and windows closed but that sort of smell takes some time to clear.

And therein lies the problem!

as you seem to have checked everything else have u checked the seal on the fuel filler cap had this problem on a couple of zafiras and found seal to of moved or broken
