Kuga reverse sensor not switching on automatically - HELP
Discussion
Hi all, my wife's Kuga usually switches on the rear parking sensors when the car is put into reverse. The last day or so it has stopped doing this.
You can still manually switch it on, but there have been a few near misses on the reverse parking.
It is a 59 plate, any thoughts on what to check first? Appreciate your views.

This is just a guess, but a common problem with Focuses of that era is that the reverse light stops working - it is caused by a switch on the gearbox iteslf sticking. Could be a similar mechanism with similar likelihood of failure for your Kuga's parking sensors? Had this on my 57-plate Focus, was not hugely expensive to fix. Of course, it could work in a totally different fashion and what I've said could be so much marsh gas You can still manually switch it on, but there have been a few near misses on the reverse parking.
