Bluefin for Kuga TDCI
Discussion
The other week I helped a mate install a Bluefin for Kuga TDCI 163ps Titanium X 6 speed manual.
Before fitting the kit we took a few timing on the road to try and compare the performance
4th Gear 40 ~60 was 4.91 seconds and 5.38 seconds
5th Gear 60 ~ 80 was 10.22 seconds
both taken on a damp flat road
Next we installed the bluefin with took approx 15 mins to upload via the diagnostic port
4th gear 40 ~60 was 4.77 seconds and 4.77 seconds
5th Gear 60 ~ 80 was 6.29 seconds
both taken on a very wet flat road and using the same stretch of road as before
The 60 ~ 80 difference was very impressive, as its the kind of real world timing where you accelerate on a motorway.
Driving impressions are that it now is very keen to rev. My mate said it actually now seems like a petrol engine rather than a diesel. Mine are that it is now a much better car than it was but its still a Kuga
