Mk1 Focus instrument cluster swap
Discussion
Can I swap instrument cluster from a scrapyard without affecting immobiliser, ecu or anything else? Car is Focus 2002 TDCI.
Going to send original cluster away for repair (gauges/mileage not working correctly - common fault I understand) but in order to keep car useable I was going to use scrapyard one as temporary measure. Can anyone foresee any problems? Mileage isn't an issue as original clocks will be going back in. Thanks.

Hi Guys,
Sorry to re-start an old thread.
I have replaced my instruments with the ST model Mk1 - Mk1 Ghia.
Seems to be fine with the digital lcd display in the ST version seems to be going a bit crazy? It does correctly pick up the trip meter mileage.
Second thing is the oil gauges - of course they physically fit - but the power/data cable to them is missing from the Ghia loom - can that be added in?
Thanks for your help.
