Hello guys glad to be part of this great forum.

I have a simple question because I do not understand a lot about cars. I did a lot of research and I really like Ford Mondeo 2011 Titanium X Automatic on 50 000 miles with 2 former keepers. My question is does anyone have an experience with this car? The car costs 10k and I really look for comfort and some performance (more than my Chevrolet Cruze 1.8 LT First car smile ). Any advice about reliability and comfort will be much appreciated. Thank you

Regards

Mondeos are generally reliable and extremely cavernous.
You don't say if petrol or diesel though.
Only issue we had with a 2009 2.0 petrol was the rubber strips along the sill falling off (didn't leak even without them).
A friend of mine had a Mondeo and had nothing but trouble with it though.
Auto is the Ford Powershift.

Is it a hatch? Or estate? I had a manual and the Titanium X is always the trim to go for but I never heard anything negative about the auto.

2 former owners probably means current is 3rd, means you'll be the 4th. At 5 years old I'd expect a FSH and to be honest £10K is way too expensive and I'd be looking nearer £8K

10k is too much money for a mk4 these days, although some of the late titx cars are funny money for what they are.

2l diesel is bulletproof (i put 300k+ on mine without issue despite it being mapped to 200 bhp and getting driven enthusiastically.

estate is massive, make sure whatever one you buy has parking sensors.

one thing i would say is make sure the gearbox gets a regular service/oil change. so many people view them as sealed for life units and they don't fair well with big miles without some tlc.

full leather is like hens teeth(windsor leather is lovely) half leather is still super comfy though. the factory nav is completely hopeless so i wouldn't bother hunting it out(plenty of aftermarket options for not a lot of money- android based units that are far superior).

check that theres no outstanding field service actions(recalls) ping the reg into etis.ford.com and it will flag up anything outstanding as there has been a few on the mk4s over the years

anything else you want to know just drop me a pm. i'm a huge fan of the mk4 and would have one over my current mk5

I loved my MK4 but skipped the MK5 when changing as don't really rate it.

2.0TDCI Powershifts are incredibly thirsty. As in mid 30s mpg on the computer, which will equate to a real world low 30s.

I don't know how Ford managed to bugger them up so badly.

2.0TDCI manuals are not the best for economy-expect low 40`s.They have bloody hard seats aswell!
