Focus ST problem
Discussion
My late friends son has just bought himself an '08 Focus ST, car is spotless/well looked after with full service etc, he didn't get chance to give it a 'proper' test drive before purchase due to heavy traffic etc but it drove very well, I took it for a drive other night on my local bypass and noticed when pushing it hard through the gears to the redline it has a slight split second hesitation 2/3 times in all gears. To me it feels like it is misfiring as if crap fuel has been put in it (seller filled the tank as part of sale), I connected my code reader and it came up with 'P0016 Crankshaft position actuator ckt open (b1,sa)'.
I have told him to fill it with Esso Super unleaded for a couple of tankfulls and see if it makes a difference, anyone have any other ideas?
