Diagnostics Help Needed - Ford Mondeo
Discussion
I have a flashing glowplug light on my Mondeo dash (discussed in a previous post). I bought a diagnostics tool to plug in to see what the problem may be but I have absolutely no idea what I am doing. Nothing I click is giving me any codes or faults.
Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,

Hi Mandy,
I don't have the same program as you, but I use the ForScan app which lists the same modules.
What I would try first is with the reader connected and the ignition on, click on the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) box on the left, then click on 'Read DTC' (I think that stands for Diagnostic Trouble Code).
Hopefully then it will list any fault codes in the black text box (should look like Pxxxx). If it does not tell you what the code means, put the P-number into Google and see what it comes back with.
What you could also do is click 'Clear DTC', and then start the engine and see if you get the flashing light again, and then do a 'Read DTC'. This will ensure there aren't old stored fault codes in the memory and should help pinpoint what the actual fault is.
Let us know how you get on!
