Fiesta ST180 spare wheel and jack.

Having just destroyed a tyre when it developed a puncture and it only became apparent, on a corner, it seems clear that a can of gunk isn't really the answer when your inner sidewalls are probably two handfuls of rubber powder, inside the tyre so i wasn't going to waste the gunk.

One new tyre later, I want to buy a jack and spare kit but there are various options on ebay, usually involving a steel wheel and what may or may not be a Ford jack. Some are red, some are black.

I see the ST170 had a nicer looking space saver but it looks more dished. though it says it fits an ST180 Fiesta, I am dubious. Anyone have experience as the steel wheels seem to require additional different wheel nuts according to one ad.

Give your local dealers a call, they often have offers for a spare and jack kit for £120 or so. You then know it's the correct one for your car

I ordered the jack and spare wheel with the car, £100 I think it was. Didn't fancy a knackered tyre and possibly waiting hours for recovery to turn up.
