Fiesta mk7 1.2 wouldnt start
Discussion
im posting this on behalf of my aunt, who had a random chain of events...
last week her car wouldnt start, she left in an hour and then it started fine.
she has been driving it every day since with no issues
today she got a puncture, she got the wheel changed and then the car wouldnt start again, all the lights on the dash were strong, but it wouldnt turn over, so she got some jump leads, but when she connected them, all the electrics went crazy, dials moving about and radio reset to 87.5 and date and time set to 01/01/1999 00:00, she turned the car over and it started fine immediately. she then noticed that the radio presets were back as normal and the date and time were correct, car has been fine since this evening.
she does lots of miles in the car, perhaps 800 a week.
car is 09 plate with 70k
any ideas? no faults stored in ecu.

If it's any help I had a similar problem to this with my Fiesta, though it is an 07 plate MK6, so I'm not entirely sure it's relatable.
I had great difficulty getting it started at times, also had the same issues with error lights and times being reset.
In short it was a problem with the ECU, I can't remember what the exact issue was as I took it to a garage, though it only set me back £70.
