Need some info on mk1 or mk2 escort estate inquiring

Hey,
I posted here before about trying to find an old japanese sedan or wagon I've looked a bit but they seem to be way harder to find than i first anticipated. My dad gave my idea he said why not an Escort mk1 or mk2 as he used to own one and I guess it would be good to continue the Ford theme aha fiesta mk3 then a mk6 and maybe an mk1 or mk2 escort If i'm lucky. Anyway after searching around a little i soon found out the 3 doors were very expensive, didn't see any 4 doors for sale at the time I don't know if there's much difference on the price front.
Anyway how much do you reckon I'd be looking at for a mk1 or mk2 Estate or 4 door?
Just wanted to get some info and get some ideas and maybe some really good places to look this car will also be used as a daily.
If I can't get an escort what other rwd wagons, sedans is there?

The cost of a 3-door, plus the cost of converting it by adding back doors, welding, strengthening, and custom fabbing the side glass.(The estates were three-door only, unless you count the vans, which had two opening back doors so technically they might be four doors).

Whatever you look at with RWD Escorts you are looking at big money these days, plus panels for the estates are rare now, especially wings as they only fit the van and estate, due to these being basically the Mk1 with a Mk2 front end grafted on. If you want a 70s estate I'd look for something like a Volvo instead.

RWD Escorts of any flavour have pretty much all been robbed for parts. Either for rally cars, restorations or, more likely, for kit cars. Car and Classic has a part-restoration estate going for £3K. Maybe a Cortina Estate would be more affordable, but they are pretty rare beasties too, for similar reasons - lots of their parts were used in "Locost" DIY cars.
Most will have rotted into the earth but my father had a Corolla 30 Estae back in the 70s and it was streets ahead of the Escort and have this sort of potential:
