Best one by far.

Very cliquey on there. Plus they're only interested in painted their wheels black and lowering the ride height into the weeds. If you want any kind of constructive technical help, forget it.http://www.focusstoc.com/forums/

You must have had a bad experience to say that, but I completely disagree.Regarding technical help you need to become a full member to access that part of the site which costs £10 per year.
I have been a member for about 2 years and there is no shortage of people willing to offer help when it is asked for.
Black wheels is a factory option on the Mk.3.5 ST so owners do not need to paint them, but I am not a fan of black wheels myself in general.
Naturally some owners will always want to lower their car, but it is certainly not a preoccupation of members by any means.
You dismissed the site I recommended but did not offer one of your own.

The few American Focus ST forums are better at helping with technical issues once you get past the different terminology they have for stuff.
Sounds to me Ron that you're the owner or one of the mods on the UK site which would explain why you're so defensive of them. If you do a search in this forum you will see that the site has come in for criticism from many Focus ST owners over the years.
FSTOC used to be great for the Mk2, technical advice was everywhere, loads of tuners posting and some great group buys. Then it changed. Rules were brought in which stopped pretty much all of the Group Buys and then members started leaving in droves. My membership expired last year I think and I haven't bothered renewing it, some of the Facebook groups are far more helpful these days.

I am a paying member of the site, lured to pay in order to access anything remotely useful, or that's what I was told. Truth is that there's very little of use in the paid sections unless you want to discuss lowering your car into the weeds or painting your wheels black. The section for engine issues has nothing useful as it's full of conjecture from clueless chav kids whose default answer is "get your codes read" because none of them have any technical or mechanical experience in identifying problems.

I can wholeheartedly say that I haven't got a clue what you're talking about, and that my experience has been anything like the above. The few American Focus ST forums are better at helping with technical issues once you get past the different terminology they have for stuff.

I Highly recommend the site, seems more active to me than some others I've tried.
The last 3 topics I posted there for advice were all swiftly sent off to the member only section despite similar topics from their pals being left in the public forum. Sending them to the member area is as good as deleting them as there's only a handful of people in there and all they want to talk about is remapping, painting their wheels black and saying "LOL" to everything. My club membership has since lapsed and it won't be getting renewed. fk em.

Without wishing to start an argument with you.....you are talking complete rubbish about the type of talk on FSTOC. I still reckon like I said before you must have had a bad experience so have an axe to grind.I do however agree with you that posts are moved too quickly to the Technical section and I have voiced that opinion in the past.
