engine rebuild

I have a Westfield kit car se narrow body with a 1600 cross flow engine with a twin choke webber but needs a rebuild i wasn't sure where would be best to refurbish it or would it be better to change it out for a more modern engine if so what engine would fit my cross flow bell housing?

Most parts are still available (check Burtonpower) and there are a number of places that will refurb blocks, etc.

The Zetec will fit the bellhousing and the engine mounts (AFAIK).

If you haven't already, give Mark at the Westfield factory a call. If you're in the Midlands, he might advise talking to Aldon Automotive over by Stourbridge.
