Is it possible to buy an aftermarket warranty directly from Ford? Our 2.5 year old Fiesta Ecoboost is coming to up to 60k miles and I wouldn't mind extending the warranty.

Problem is I can't find out how to do it online and the dealership are clueless.

When we brought the wife's fiesta new we were told by the ford salesman you can only extend the warranty before registration, which we did for extra 2 years.

The Ford official extended warranty, when I took it out, had to be done during the first year after first registration but appears to have changed:

I guess it's so they look you into the dealer network/overide block exemption?

Anyway, give them a call and see what they say. If calling dealers you may have your work cut out as most will try and sell some rac crap instead as they get a cut of the premium and will deny all knowledge of an official Ford product, I had this with a Berkshire dealer who told me there was no such product. I gave them the web link the next day and told them to stick their 'deal'. Eventually bought from the Buckingham dealer over the phone. £300 for two extra years.
Always wondered if it would actually pay out, it did used it in Nov last year for a central locking receiver replacement.

I did this with our Fiesta Titanium before it was 1 year old. I just tried to do the same with our B-Max and was told it has to be done before first registration. The only way is to go for the aftermarket warranty offered by the dealer. These were quite expensive and I don't think they're worth it considering the Ford repair costs aren't exactly the dearest on the market.
