Focus water pump - have I been had?

I had a large coolant leak just before Christmas and took the car to a local garage on a recommendation. The water pump was leaking and apparently was changed. 6 weeks later and it's leaking again although not as bad. It was making strange noises over the last week and almost all the coolant. Now it's stabilised after I refilled it.

I am worried it wasn't changed at all but I'm not sure what I'm looking at underneath. I'm concerned that I was had and it's been bodged with Radweld. I can see it leaking from the housing in small drips not hosing out like before.

The mechanic said it was a non ford part which is fine but it should last more than 6 weeks!!!

They said being it back but I want to know if I should cause him of not actually changing the pump. I asked to see the old one but was told they threw it away already (sounds dodgy)

I changed a water pump on a transit last week, the pump lasted a day before it started leaking, through the alloy casting!!!
keyparts stuff is awfull, it is possable if unusuall.
what engine/year ?

It's a 2010 1.6 zetec petrol
