Hi all,

Am thinking about selling my current (silver) ST rims and buying a set of black ones (the car is black and I think they look far nicer... opinions eh?!)

Problem is, they seem to be made of play-doh and have a fair bit of kerb-scratches. I'm wondering if it would be worth me getting them refurbished before selling them, or just selling them as-is for less? I'm guessing the latter would be trickier to sell, but I may make a bit more £?

How much should I expect to pay for refurbing 4 silver alloys?

Also, how much should I expect to pay for new ST black rims?

Thank you all for your responses!

Yep. Technically it's a Mk2.5 (2008) but the same I think.

Look like this - but more scratched unfortunately frown

Why not just paint them black if you want black ones?

By far the cheapest and easiest way will be to refurb and spray your current wheels

OK. Was wondering if this would be the way forward, or whether just to sell and pay the difference for 'proper' black ones. Cheers.

Black wheels on a black car ...... not for me personally.

When I bought my ST (2010 ST-3 Performance Blue), I spent ages looking for the car I wanted with silver wheels as by then, 2010, they were an option & black were standard. Looks so much nicer with silver wheels.

If you do want black wheels, just refurbish your current wheels.

All that jazz
