Hi all my partner has a 2005 focus and there is water coming into the boot from behind the right had side carpet, I believe it seemed to be coming from under the light cluster somewhere so I sealed around where I could, water is still coming in so are there any other suggestions or have I just done a crap job of sealing it? I was told this was quite common with these cars, so hope someone might know.. Cheers in advance

The outer edge of the lamp is sposed to leak it lets water run down the pillar wink fully sealing the clucter at the edge will back water up and cause it to seep past the hatch seal wink
The propper seal is in the middle and you will need to remove the light cluster to get at it, IIRC 1 torx screws and a thumb nut inside the pillar behind the trim, then prize the light clucter off, there are pins that stick in the bush they sit in so go carefull and dont break the cluster smile
I have a roll of camping floor mat (neoprene) i use to replace seals but they are only a few quid from ford IF the dealer still stocks them ??

I've read about this too, however its coming in from behind the side carpet directly under the light cluster and running underneath the floor carpet so my guess is, it must be coming in from around there somewhere.
