Had my Fiesta from new since March.

Within the last few months I have started to notice a groaning noise which is noticeable while reversing when bringing the clutch up.

My other half was the first to notice it while I reversed onto the drive, although I couldn't hear it from within the cabin...a month or so on and it seems to be getting louder and more common.

Its not accompanied by any typical clutch burning smell and nothing I do with lower or higher revs effects the noise.

I thought it may have something to do with the hill assist but happens with or without the system on.

Anyone else on here heard of this issue before or been back to ford?
Will pop into the dealer when I get the chance but I am full expecting to me met with blank stares.

Strangely I find the noise quite embarrassing, now having a few people question me on what the noise is, and expressing their surprise of such a noise from what is almost a brand new car.

Currently has 8000 miles on but I'd estimate the noise began at around 5000.

Couldnt be happier with it other than that smile

I'd be taking that to a dealer asap.. the longer you wait, the more chance they would use the "wear and tear" line if it's clutch related.

Yeah that's my worry as well, Il take it on the weekend and see what they say :\

Done a bit of googling and there are a few people complaining on the fiesta owners club mentioning the same thing.

I have the came car and not noticed any issues with the clutch - as said get it in to the dealers...

I love mine too, just ridiculous performance from a 999cc engine !

Have you made any changes ?

No haven't changed anything of note.
Added an 'S' badge to the front grill and took the Fiesta badge off the rear, think it tidies it up nicely.

Got a thread running on it here

Off to ford tomorrow to get them to take a look.

Hi. I have the same problems when reversing and the clutch keeps on slipping when changing gear. I have taken it to for and they have diagnosed it as a warn clutch and expect me to pay £700. The car is only seven months old. Surely this should be done under warranty???!!!
