Discussion
Following a 4 year build and 2000 untroubled miles the car stopped in the middle of Chesterfield, called the breakdown as couldn't hear the pump priming (had been a new pump). After several 'taps' the car worked fine for another 200 miles. I replaced the pump with another new one and new prefilter. This time it only ran for 3 miles and then after much tapping and swearing ran for 300 metres. Towed home and now starts ok but no confidence on taking it for a run. I will fit a fuel pressure gauge just to have more information. The engine is in a TVR and I don't think there is an OBD (certainly not seen one)
I see.
Is the fuel pump section of the vehicle as it was from TVR?
As that sounds like a fuel pump relay fault occuring and stopping the pump from running.
The diagnostic socket on the BOA ecu is a 3 pin triangular shaped plug, usually near the bulkhead in the Granada, but just a short fly lead from the ecu main connector if its still wired in

Yes original TVR pump location but new wiring and relay (however this has been recently been covered by carpet so maybe getting hot - I'll relocate to open area with fresh air) I think I've seen a 3 pin lead somewhere - again I'll checkIs the fuel pump section of the vehicle as it was from TVR?
