Either get new lower arms or just change the large rear bush for a poly one and leave the front one. Its the large rear one that splits and looses its damping oil.

Yeah it's the big ones that are gone apparently. Thought I might as well change the lot while I have it off.

I've not even looked at them yet to way the job up.

Will I need a puller, press or a vice to do the job ?

I only have a basic tool set at my house. All my more specialist type stuff is In my box at my parents house which I can't get access to at the moment.

Don't want to start the job if I can't do it with what I have here.

You will need socket set and basic tools to replace with new arms and for the small cost, get new bolts from Fords, only a few quid. If you want to replace the rear bush, find someone with a hydraulic press to press the assembly off the arm and refit the new. Some set fire with oxyacetylene to burn them off, they are an arse. I swopped mine with new and have the old ones in the loft incase they went wobbly then I was going to fit polys on the old and refit back to the car, but its been fine. Remember to get the tracking reset afterwards too, if will have moved. Also remember to undo the headlight level switch off the nsf arm and remember which way it goes back on or the headlights dip to the ground. The front ones don't give grief and too stiff bushes can make the car quite different to drive allegedly, not in a great way hence why its worth leaving them
