How do I find a decent used s max powershift?
Discussion
Been looking for an s-max for a year now and the only stuff I've seen has been trashed, with poor body repairs which the dealers somehow don't see until I point it out (funny that.)
I'm after a titanium x sport (or non sport)', powershift. Preferably petrol and in a dark colour, but prepared to compromise for the right car.
Must have full service history. My budget is up to £15k. Any ideas beyond Pistonheads, Ebay, Motors.co.uk, Autotrader?
Surely someone somewhere has one that they have actually looked after?

Only based on what I saw when looking to buy in January this year, but I think your budget is too low, and your criteria is incredibly specific.
I went to look at several S-Max Titanium X's, and in the end, the best I could find was a '61 plate 2012 car with 16,000 miles, 2.2 TDCI 200PS Diesel, Titanium X Sport trim, Silver, etc etc
Incidentally, I ended up spending £4k more than your budget, and at a main dealer. I guess you could maybe shave a bit off for say 40-50k miles and a private seller/independant garage, but I found not a single petrol car that wasn't totally ruined. The only good one I saw at that time was 22k, and that was more than I wanted to spend really. I couldn't justify 3k more over my one certainly.
The problem is with S-Max's, regardless of age, they command a strong price almost seemingly regardless of condition. I saw several that looked like half an army and crashed through them, and they were up at 'Good Condition' prices. It's madness.
