Back in a Ford after nearly 30 years!
Discussion
Over 30 years ago I had a mk3 Cortina and a mk4 estate as well as an Escort van.
Not had a Ford since, until last year when I bought Mercury Grand Marquis and now have ordered the new Mustang which hopefully should be with me by Christmas.
Did hire a Sierra when they first came out as it was an unusual looking car that did turn heads as well as a 2.8 Scorpio.
Have not driven a Mondeo though.

Had about 10 Fords between 1976 and 1997, but haven't had one since (last was a Sierra Sapphire GLSi).
Now I wish I still had one so I could go to Old Skool Ford events, but I can no longer afford an old Ford - B****R! Should have kept one!
Just been looking on Autotrader - Orion or Mk3/4 Escort might be affordable but not quite what I had in mind!

Thanks guys, yep, it's really quite fun: punts along the motorway well, copes with the day to day slog, & gave it a work out today with http://www.under17-carclub.co.uk/ - both my lads zipped around in it, + a couple of others blagging a go. Dead right about red, avoid black, it's too slow
On the somewhat worrying side, teenage lads seem to really love it: slightly bothered I may end up on a register somewhere as a result..
