Fiesta Zetec S to ST?
Discussion
I've had a Fiesta Zetec S for the last 4 1/2 years and it's time for a change. I'd like a similar car and the stand out class leader is the Fiesta ST. I had a sit in one and liked it a lot, but I'm a bit concerned it I'll all be a bit too familiar once the initial novelty wears off. Has anyone made this change and would you do the same again or get something else? Cheers
I've got a 2015 ZS, and a pal has a 2015 ST.
I had a go in the ST, and to be honest, while very quick I couldn't live with it long term.
The ride is so uncomfortable, it crashes over every bump, although I will agree it holds the road extremely well.
I couldn't get on with the recaros either, I'm too broard in the shoulders.
Other than the seats, there's little to differentiate the interiors.

Thanks for the replies. I'm surprised the ride is as bad as you say as because the ride in my ZS is very good on 17s and all the magazine reviews are very positive. In any case I think I'm going to go for something different just because it is different. The question is what as the Fiesta is the best car in its class.

The ride isn't that bad when you live with it. I've had mine since last September and it doesn't spoil the fun. You don't buy a hot hatch for a limo ride quality and the great handling more than makes up for it.Kidders said:

I may have had several beers and may have woken up when going over an uneven surface as my head bounced off of the pillar. lol
So it's comfortable enough, but can be firm at times. Driving 100 miles a day? Maybe not. Standard hatchback duties are fine.
Still love the car though.

I've got a 2013 ST currently sat on Mountune springs. I wouldn't say that fitting these have changed the ride quality at all. It can be slightly rough but nothing that isn't bearable.
What I will say (without trying to be rude!), is that some bigger built friends find the Recaro's uncomfortable due to the size of the bolsters. I'm like a rake so fit in quite snug - best seats I've sat in!
