fuel gauge

Anyone experienced a fuel gauge reading full at all levels of fuel in a Treg. Mondeo?

Gauge reads slightly higher when ignition is on.

Sender unit is working.

Have not yet metered out the wires.

No trip meter.

Gauge works.

The wiring diagram is pretty useless even having been to Haynes for a specific sheet.

Could it be the printed circuit behind the instrument cluster or are there other items in line?

My T Reg Mondeo does the same! Is the fuel gauge sender unit built into the pump assembly? I have no idea at the mo why it aint working, but will try and fix it. If I have any luck, I will let you know! Afterall, I'm an engineer! (Which probably means a big hammer will do it!)
