Depending on how good the valeter was when the car was new, you may still have a little (about an inch square) white label on one of the A pillars.

Your looking for what we call the tear tag,it has the 4 letter code in capital letters.

If it's not there any more don't panic, you have 2 more options

A. find the PCM (powertrain control module) and look on the end of it, the other portion of the label should still be present.

B. pop into a dealer and ask them to plug WDS in and read off the calibration number of the software within the module. A dealer may well be suspicious of your request and want paying for plugging in.
Once you have the calibration file name, the tear tag details can be found out.

Is this a superchip or powerchip your going for?
If so, why not go the user friendly way and opt for Bluefin?

Bluefin is user installed and removed when needed and the handset doubles as a diagnostic scan tool for your car.

Is this a really cheap as chips upgrade (pun intended...)

I know a couple of people who had it done by VaD and the running became erratic, especially hot starting.

Hope it all goes well.
