Yep, owned my '01 from new, brought it back to the UK from California. What do you want to know? (you can click here to email me if you prefer)
A good source of info is the F150Online Lightning forum, especially if you're going to start modding

good job drove it up from luton to the ferry then back home. fantastic thing to drive, just got bored of m3/911 choices, been there done that. do u know the recommended oil? any other maintence needing doing? unfortunatly wont fit in my garage so will have to leave it outside, may get a roof extension!!what miles on yours? had good fun giving other drivers suprises??
That drive from the docks on US plates is fun, isn't it? No worries about cameras...
The US guys seem to be keen on mineral oils and change every 3000 miles. I use the best synthetics I can find (and also stick to 3000)
Now up to 24k, with a broad grin every single mile except the one time I drove the L in snow, which was not an experience to repeat in a hurry

Got to say that I love the F150 Lightning and one day I would love to have one. Saw one on the M1 in a traffic jam the other day, they look superb and sound great as well!

I bought a Lightning and I'm really disappointed with it.Yes it looks stunning but there is nothing to do when you are driving it.Mine is up for sale on PH and other places 'cos i just need something more exciting to drive.
Interesting, all the L owners I've met in the US and over here agree that the L leaves a smile on your face like few other cars can (especially at under 20 grand). I wouldn't drive mine every day, but it definitely has its place.
there just something missing in the overall package and I feel that i,m just there to steer it and prod the loud pedal.can't drive a lot of my favourite roads quick because they are too narrow and its a shame to leave hedge marks up the side of it and I don't particulary want to keep buying mirrors for it that have been lost on on-coming lorries. It OK when you can give it a good blast and it certainly grabs attention wherever it goes but I don't look forward to driving it like I did the Westy.Think I need another quick convertable (TVR, Z3M ,or KIT )Just need someone to buy it now!!
