Does anyone know how to mask the headlamps on a 2001 Focus estate for driving in France? The local dealer was somewhat less than helpful

Thanks

You go into your local branch of Halfwits, pick up a pair of converters and (following the instructions) stick them to the glass.

I usually don't bother to put them on (unless I drive at night) - that way they last for years in the glovebox.

I'm pretty sure there was a TSB released to dealers, with details of how to mask them for the continent.

i'll check tomorrow and let you know.

Thanks. Much appreciated. Local dealers stared blankly at me when the subject was raised.

"If only there was a local branch of Halfords" - not a phrase you hear every day.

Most of the ferries stock them (don't tell me.....not between CI & France).

Right sorry for the late reply.

have your dealer print a copt of TSB 114 from 1998
that has the templates needed to mask the headlights on both LHD and RHD Focus which should be right for your 2001 car.

we updated the lights for 02 models, and I'm not 100% sure if the same masks will suit the later optics.

If the dealer tells you they don't have the tsb on file, tell them to pull their finger out and look on eTIS, thats what it's there for afterall

tis and etis are a bit of a pain if you want to mail things as it won't copy and paste , otherwide i'd send it to you right now.

any problems getting it, drop m a line m8
