XR2i engines

Before you all start i know this is a chav wagon!!!! my next dorr neighbour has got two, we are planning to take the engine out of car 'A' Clean it up tidy it up and hopefully do a few mods to it he would like to put some carbs on it and then drop it into car 'B' then doing th same to engine B and trying to sell it for a bit of money!!!
Does anyone know much about hese engines and what sort of mods you can do to them.

Its a mark 3 car and its a 1.6 engine

Any help/tips would be great

why remove the efi system and put carbs on?

the xr2i with the 1.6 engine was a CVH 8v fitted with EECIV management

the engine is very easy to strip and rebuild
