I need a Plate type diff that locks solid under power, and have herd that the Viscos type diffs free up under to much load. What type does the cossy use ?

They were viscous coupled units m8.

Only the WRC used self locking diffs in conjuction with electronic control iirc. using hydraulic pressures of upto 50bar to lock it solid under power, the centre diff also decoupled when the handbrake was yanked on.

not so sure as to what diff assy the old 2.8 special capri used, seem to think that was a plate diff. But I have no idea of the application you want it for either.

I was hoping there might have been a plate type for the Serria at some point.
Yes I had a Capri and they where a Plate type but I need one that has drive shafts with CV joints etc, for a Bike engined Mini.
