I have decided to sell the G33. Tough decision but changes in circumstances dictate. I hope she finds a good home!

Nick, your thread heading 'Tricky decision' doesn't give an indication to a 'sale' of your car...
others, like geeman's Dare G4 for sale, and the other sale posting of the G21 have disappeared on here.
Why?

Is it not allowed now to show you are selling a car?
Odd.

How weird.

I have it advertised here on Pistonheads. Its been up for 48 hours, and all enquiries so far are from Germany.

interesting...enquiries from germany.....the country where you need a controlled catalytic converter from reg-dates June 1992 onwards...otherwise the car isnt "legally" re-registrateable.

ok..there is always a way....but the law says officially "NO".

PH have a policy of not allowing adverts on the forum pages, even where they are links to the PH classified section. This one fell through their net....

Alice is sold - and going to Germany....

I still have the cats and the car runs a controlled cat map with the lambda sensors in place. I am sure there would be a way to weld the cats back into the exhaust

When I had the new exhaust made, I had the cats removed. The cat map in the ECU is much better at controllingthe fueling than the non cat map. I therefore decided to retain the lambdas and run the cat map. This was all set up on TVR Power's rolling road.

I actually still have the older (4 years old) stainless exhaust with the cats. If I were going to put cats in myself, I would fit new high flow sports cats as they are not too expensive and could be easily done by a competant stainless exhauset fabricator.

Thats why I keep money earmarked for cars in a secret place where Mrs Blue knows nothing! And I only spend it on cars.

Does this mean you've spotted another car ...if so what is it?

o, nothing as yet, but I will "ring fence" the receipt from the G33 for another car when I am able. Will be very sad to see the G33 go, but I have limited choice at the moment.

did the car already "left" the island?

did a private person buy the car or a seller (or a seller which masked itself as a private person)?
