Ginetta G8 info anybody?
Discussion
Thought a new thread might be helpful away from fakes! Although, I suppose I might get shot down and accused of self promotion (hopefully not, as the ones who used to denigrate me for that aren't on here! .
It isn't that at all, it's a plea for assistance.
A 2004 book on Formula 3 is being lightly revised - it already has a few pages on the Ginetta G8. From a Ginetta point it would be nice to enlarge the section on this unusual single-seater, perhaps with an extra picture(s) or information. Trev has been asked (obviously) but you never know what snippets other people have.
So there you go, 'anything' G8.
You don't have something hidden away in your boxes of Ginetta stuff, Geoff?

Afraid not, John. Isn't there supposed to be one under restoration somewhere around Coventry?Geoff
Not much of one, but anything is better than nothing.
See what I can find out.

Got to talk to the guy who owns it yesterday.
He has his work cut out to restore it.
Interestingly the car was apparently hill climbed in the UK at some point. Now wouldn't that make a nice piccy, a hill climbing G8.
I've got less than a week.
Leads please to hill climbing photographers (probably this would have been late sixties, early seventies when it went up the hills... more than once, who knows?)
