G32 wiring (headlights)

Hi all

Im after some information in regards to the headlight wiring for my sons g32 its got the mk2 wiring loom but we are unable to get the lights to lift up

Not being a G32 expert but I recall people mentioning Fiat X19 lifters. Is your son in the Ginetta Owners Club? Joe Gowland, who used to be Editor, did have G32 wiring diagrams, one in PDF form so you can view online.

You may want to have a look for a small switch under the bonnet near the air intake. It will likely be of the courtesy light style normally found in door shuts. It was designed to prevent the lights being raised while the bonnet is open as there is insufficient clearance to raise the headlamp pods fully.

Joining the GOC will give you access to the membners area of their website that contains huge amounts of technical data on the G32.

Just another thought. Have you just bought the car or is this a fault that has just developed? The mechanical linkage used to be a bugger for seizing up if not maintained regularly. A good dose of easing and greasing may solve your problem.
