This one's up for sale so I got in quick this time.

Met up with owner yesterday and had a run.
Really nice compromise as it has a detatchable hardtop and has a softtop.
My offer was not quite good enough but I really need to stick to my limit.

Nice car - needs a little bit of attention but don't they all.

I'm swaying back to a DZ now strangely for entering and exiting reasons(but keeping mum about the car - I don't want to be gazumped again).

You only remember how tiny the G4 is when it's alongside a big car ...like a MINI biggrin

PS any owners considering selling? - go to Stoneleigh, I'm looking to buy!

Hi Snapper7, hope you are well on the mend?

I (sort of) intercepted this car - it's on its way to Spadge and a 'prospective' buyer - been funny if I'd bought it because I would then be guilty of the gazumping that had been done to me re the silver DZ.

It (G4) could still fall through I suppose - then be on the market.
Whether it will be via Spadge I don't know, depends how Spadge views the car.

Unfortunately, I can't say what I offered for the car because I've been asked not to disclose, which is fair enough.
Keep a watch on Ginetta Heritage site.
Dave Baker's beauty is for sale and it's a long cockpit ...BUT 23 Grand.
Thought Dave would have kept it forever?

Personally, after driving the G4 yesterday I can't see the need for a LC. I had bags of room - ok, I'm 6ft and slim but the seller is 2 inches taller than me and MUCH broader! He has no problem fitting in and driving.

He was a bit cramped in the passenger side though, knees on dashbiggrin but that was more to do with the extinguisher on the floor.

I am 6ft and all the short cockpit cars that I have been in have been uncomfortable within 20mins. I would really need a LC version. Mind you I am financially wiped out after with the current down turn and the unfortunate misfortune of a Stroke.

Bit gutted because I did have a good amount of money put by for a G4 for the last few years, but no LC Coupe came up for sale.

That's correct.
Owner had a little 'off', no chassis damage but enough to warrant a new clamshell, but he preferred the rear without the 'vents' and pods for reverse/fog lights.

Not sure if it sold, but I've leant towards a DZ now.

Update: no it didn't sell, it's on Spadge's site now 16k.

Just for clarification - I know there's been some discussion off line as to why our LWB G4 is on Spadge's site - I have been diagnosed with cancer and we've decided a car I can get into and out of more easily while undergoing treatment and afterwards will be of more use to us - no other reason. So we've bought a Cayman (thanks to my critical illness cover!) and decided 8 cars was just a few too many so the one I struggle to reach the pedals of had to go!
