Picture shamelessly stolen off Google images.

Long story short I have recently reorganised my life and thankfully resurrected an old friendship with a good mate that I had fallen out with (over a girlfriend of course) a few years ago.

He has had a G28 for many years now, if you look at the picture then imagine something 10 times worst you pretty much have his car, gel cracks, faded paint, microblisters, missing bits, horrific wiring.

Now first off it isn't a nice car in any sense, it's also never ever going to be worth a lot of money, frankly it's a shed (can you tell I like it?) BUT, he really likes the car. Sadly he doesn't have the ability to sort the car out.

Also sadly I am currently unemployed, as I have a bit of time on my hands then I have hit upon a sensible idea which is to sort the damned thing out for him (free of course).

Thankfully most of it is there, doesn't look like anything rare is missing, I do need to do something with the dash, the rear bumper is a right mess, the bonnet is awful and it needs a full rewire before tackling cosmetics.

Are bumpers/bonnets available? I could repair them but a decent used one of either or both would make life far simpler.

Is there a colour they look nice in? At the moment it is that god awful mid met blue ford colour as painted on to escorts, also what wheels were fitted as new (or look nice) as it currently has some deep dish bbs types which just don't suit it at all.

I'm already aware I will regret this by the way, hopefully it will result in some karma points for me!

The car is a G26 it was my mistake!

Will be starting on it pretty soon, wiring is the first job.

To be honest Mike they are the same ones fitted to the car and I think Simon dislikes them so there will be 2 sets probably up for sale!

In that case consider 15" 5 spoke types - Compomotive do one - with a slightly lower profile tyre (195X50)
They look good on a G26 and also work well. I think that 195X50s are a "preferred" size and tend to be cheaper than 14"s
